I love to photograph animals or objects in motion and this gallery presents a variety of such scenes: several frames of a Pelican on a take-off roll, a burst of pictures showing a Great Egret gobbling down a fish, a Lilac-breasted Roller flying, young Zebras racing each other in the Masai Mara and photos of Humpback whales. In late summer the Inside Passage is a wonderful place to observe Humpback Whales on their return from Hawaii. They are mostly mothers and their young calves at the end of a long journey of thousands of miles. They are there by the hundreds and while the observer sees mostly tails there are many thrilling moments when the huge whales shoot up in a spectacular breach. Shooting a breach is an incredibly exciting moment for a photographer.
